Broken Pieces

He is near to you who have a broken heart
(Psalm 34:18 )






 "Believing He is"

But with out faith it is impossible to please Him, for he who comes to God must believe that He is ,
and that He is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him.

(Hebrews 11:6)




Then Jesus went out from there and departed to the region of Tyre and Sidon. And behold, a woman of Canaan came from
 that region and cried out to Him, saying, “Have mercy on me, O Lord, Son of David! My daughter is severely demon possessed.”
( verse 21, 22 )


<>But He answered her not a word.  And His disciples came and urged Him, saying, “Send her away, for she cries out after us.”

But He answered and said, “I was not sent except to the lost sheep of the house of Israel.”
(verse 24 )

Then she came and worshiped Him, saying, “Lord help me!”
(verse 25 )

But He answered and said, “It is not good to take the children's bread and throw it to the little dogs.” ( verse 26 )

And she said, “Yes, Lord, yet even the little dogs eat the crumbs which fall from their master's table.”
 (verse 27 )

Then Jesus answered and said to her, “O woman, great is your faith! Let it be to you as you desire.”
 And her daughter was healed from that very hour.
( verse 28 )

( Matthew 15:21-28 )

        As the scripture says, it is impossible to please God without Faith. It doesn't say we can please God by doing nice things. It doesn't say we can please God by workings ourselves to exhaustion. It doesn't say we are guaranteed more of God's affection if we are a super religious person. What it does say is, we cannot please God except by Faith. We must believe He is...Who He says He is..to overcome He must be Who He says He is on our situation. It doesn't matter what we hear with our, it matters what we hear with out heart!!

        A religious, self righteous person loves to add the extras in order for God to meet your need. There is no merit on our own person were God would look upon us. We all have sinned and fallen short of the Glory of God!!! Maybe today you have no personal relationship with the Lord Jesus. Maybe you never in your life called on Jesus to save you. Maybe your a backslidden Christian. I don't believe God is wanting to snuff out your last bit of hope. I don't believe God is in a punitive mood concerning how your living your life. I don't say that to make you feel better either! I say that because it is what the word of God says. The Bible says He is near to broken and contrite heart! ( Psalms 34:18 )As far as I'm concerned in this life and in eternity the Word of God is the final authority!!! Our personally opinions and feelings are just that and unless they are based on the truth of God's word. As I was mediating on writing this message I felt God want you to know this: He wants bring you on the mend and here is why... The bible says he is near to broken and contrite heart! (Psalms 34:18 )

        Has a divorce left you devastated. Has the woman or man you intended to spend the rest of your life with found affections for someone else? Have you been cut down so many times you just barely get out of bed anymore? Are you tormented with inferiority and have absolutely no friends at all. I can tell you confidently my friend this not God's intention for you!!! Jesus payed to dear of a price to just have you get by. In Fact the word of God says Jesus died to give you life and that more abundantly!! ( John 10:10 ) Friend, broken and battered soul, I want to challenge you as to what you believe!!!

        The greatest hindrance to the Lord Jesus helping us is what we believe!!

        I love the word of God!! It was written for our instruction and example. The story of the Greek woman in the passage above taken from (Matthew 15:21-28) is a great example of a type of a non Jew or in today's world a unsaved person receiving what she desperately needed!! What marked her? How did she obtain from Jesus what she needed?

        What I saw were three things:





        To many times the word of God becomes a hard saying and people loose heart! It was common in Jesus time..it's common today. As you read this passage in context Jesus somewhat insulted her essentially calling her position before God as less than the Jews simply because of her birth. Her birth wasn't her choice but never the less it was a fact. She could have been insulted and offended and judged God as being punitive and narrow minded. She could have got attitude and shut Jesus out and put her guard up never to listen or trust God again. No she didn't do that, in fact she persistently reached in faith for what she need for the daughter she greatly loved! Maybe she sure heard Jesus teach somewhere else. Maybe she saw or heard about a similar miracle Jesus performed for someone else. The Bible doesn't say. In this situation her brokenness, her unwillingness to get offended and her persistent Faith moved a somewhat weary and unwilling Jesus. Who are you? There is hope!

        Now let's talk about you! What do you believe? Are you so hurt by Christians and the church you can't open yourself up to trust God anymore? The Greek Lady never would have got her miracle if she took that position! Who gets hurt the worst? We as believers are not suppose to separate ourselves from one another. ( Hebrews 10: 23-25 ) It really isn't God's fault if the truth of God's word judges us. I know it's a hard saying but Saint of the Most High God realize this...it's love! Can we let go of our offense? Do you really want to be healed?

        If you are reading this and know your a sinner and if you died today you would deserve Hell? I personally have no problem with you receiving your miracle. In fact it would bless me to hear you did. But to you my friend it would be a poor way to finish and here is why. Jesus wants you to taste and see that the Lord is Good, but theirs more. Yes he wants you to be attracted to Him but more so He wants a relationship with you now and for eternity!! We were created for relationship with God!! The Bible says if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and Believe in your Heart God has raised him from the dead ye shall be saved!! I encourage your confess your sins, allow Jesus to have your heart and the rest of your days. Allow Him to Lord over your life!! Don't just go after the loaves and the fishes, go after the very heart of God!! Think about it, because of God's perfect sacrifice in the “Lamb of God”( Jesus ) our sins can be forgiven!! We must confess our sins, turn from them and accept the finished work of the Cross. Jesus Died for our sins that we might have relationship with Him. Imagine a life where you have active, intimate relationship with the creator of the Universe!! Imagine little insignificant you/me being able, because of the Blood of His son Jesus, to call God Father!



   Here is something else the bible says about the nature and ability of God.

Which means He understands all you are in and knows the perfect solution for your soul and situation. Can you believe?



Let's go over some key points and look and some practical wisdom.

    **A little disclaimer**

      This isn't a miracle service, this isn't a prayer line ..it's learning how to win. it's simply learning how to overcome.
It is nothing more or less than being convinced in the nature of God.

For whatever is born of God overcomes the world. And this is the victory that has overcome the world – Our faith.
Who is he who overcomes the world, but he who believes that Jesus is the son of God?

( 1 John 5:4,5 )

We must believe He is!!



    **Practical Wisdom**

      Don't go after you Goliath of pain on day 1.

Start with today's battles:



    Be encouraged!!

Even David saw God faithful with the lion and bear before he ever faced

the big giant!



    **A little humor**

        It's like being a 150 pounds overweight being sick of it, and running a marathon the next day.

        Your setting yourself up for unnecessary injury, and most likely premature death. Day 1 is not the day for your Goliath , but he will come again in God's time and you(we) can win this time. We can put him behind us for good! No longer will he intimate you(us) from being all God made you(us) to be!!

How do we overcome?



Some examples of being crushed and bruised:



        Brokenhearted, crushed, bruised but the day to day doesn't stop. Who understands, who can be trusted? We have learned Jesus can! Our part is to humble ourselves, open up again and allow Him to come in an Heal us!!.

        Father right now Lord I pray for those you sent to read this. Lord I pray your Spirit would begin to minister right now!   Oh God bring them comfort father.   Lord Jesus bring Your peace. And Lord let them reach toward you and believe.   Father I trust to do these things in Jesus name.
